Brandon Carrero

Brandon Carrero is a faith-driven leader, proud husband to Veronica, and devoted father to Alexa, Lucas, and Olivia. His life and work are grounded in the belief that true leadership begins at home—and that lasting success is built on love, integrity, and service.

Brandon currently serves as Head of Growth at Universal Mortgage, where he leads national expansion through strategic recruiting, market development, innovation, and digital transformation. His mission is to scale production by empowering mortgage professionals to go from good to great—leveraging AI technology, elevating team culture, and forming business partnerships that help more families achieve the dream of homeownership.

Spanning two decades, Brandon’s career includes leadership in mortgage lending, construction finance, and real estate. He has served in executive roles such as Chief Brand Officer at American Bancshares Mortgage, and is the founder of Carrero Mortgage Advisors and co-founder of Boxx Builder, a container home development company.

He is licensed as a real estate broker in both Florida and Texas and brings additional expertise from his time as Vice President at Leblanc, Karlseng, & Patten, a Texas-based title insurance firm.

Nationally recognized, Brandon has been featured on the Top 100 People in Real Estate, named NAMB Mortgage Broker of the Year, and honored on National Mortgage Professional’s list of Top 40 Under 40. He holds an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate from Marylhurst University and a BA in Political Science from the University of Houston.

Beyond the boardroom, Brandon is passionate about civic and charitable work. He ran for City Commissioner in Pembroke Pines, Florida, and served as president of his local homeowners association. He also helped found the Diocese of Roseau Cathedral Foundation to support the rebuilding of a historic cathedral in Dominica following Hurricane Maria—a mission close to his heart and rooted in his love for the Catholic Church.
